WASHINGTON — The U.S. Army has issued initial contract awards totaling approximately $93.6 million for its Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) warfighting application ecosystem, the service announced on October 7, 2026.
The awards will enable foundational, AI-enabled software capabilities to be delivered to I Corps as the Army transitions from division-level prototyping to full operational scaling. Commercial software providers receiving initial awards include General Dynamics Mission Systems, Air Space Intelligence Federal, Immersive Wisdom, LMI, Mente Systems, Stilman Advanced Strategies, Onebrief, Rune Technologies, and AIR.
These applications complement existing NGC2 data layer and artificial intelligence contracts previously awarded to Anduril, Palantir, Raft, and Striveworks. Designed with a modular, open-architecture framework, the ecosystem integrates operational tools across all six warfighting functions: command and control, fires, intelligence, movement and maneuver, sustainment, and protection.
