WASHINGTON — The U.S. Army Contracting Command has awarded Lockheed Martin Corp. a $1.21 billion contract for the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) Increment 2 Early Operational Capability, advancing the service’s long-range precision fires modernization efforts.

Under the cost-plus-fixed-fee and firm-fixed-price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity agreement, work will be managed out of Grand Prairie, Texas, with an estimated completion date of September 13, 2031. The PrSM Increment 2 program focuses on integrating enhanced targeting and maritime strike capabilities to defeat moving and shielded targets at extended ranges.
